Cast iron effect rainwater goods – Keep the aesthetic, without the rust

Hall & Botterill are the world’s leading manufacturer of cast iron effect rainwater goods. Our products are made from marine grade cast aluminium, offering all the benefits of modern manufacturing combined with the elegant look of traditional cast iron. If you are looking for a durable alternative to authentic traditional cast iron, our products provide a cost-effective solution.

Why choose cast aluminium?

We have spent decades on perfecting our cast aluminium products and are incredibly proud of their durability. The marine grade aluminium we use has been carefully developed for use in marine environments as it will resist the corrosion caused by salt spray. However, marine grade aluminium is also perfect for use in inland areas as an effective solution to the damage which can be caused by salt spray from roads.

Although plastic gutters are cheap to buy the lifetime of such products is a fraction of that offered by cast aluminium. If a plastic gutter breaks it will cease to function but cast aluminium guttering provides decades of reliability with virtually no maintenance required.

Last and by no means least, aluminium gutters are very easy to install. Lightweight and easy to handle, our high quality gutter systems are simple to fit together without the need for soldering.

Cast aluminium is durable, strong and completely recyclable, helping to earn its place as a modern alternative to traditional cast iron guttering and rainwater goods.

The Alcasti Heritage Selection

We have developed the Alscasti Heritage Selection to provide a weather resistant, low-maintenance alternative to cast iron style heritage guttering. If you are in the process of renovating or repairing a period property, you’ll need to find cast iron effect guttering which replicates and enhances its period features. This is especially important for listed buildings or homes in conservation areas.

The Alcasti Heritage Selection is available in a wide range of period styles which have been recreated in traditional designs. We offer designs specially made to suit period properties from the Georgian, Edwardian and Victorian eras.

Our range of cast iron effect rainwater goods includes everything you need to repair or replace a heritage rainwater system:

  • Hopper heads: from ornate designs complete with embossed roses or crests, through to simple and elegant styles, a traditional hopper head is an attractive way to enhance the look of your period home.
  • Ornamental roses: available in a range of sizes, we make cast aluminium roses designed to decorate hopper heads.
  • Ornamental lugs: designed to complement many of our hopper head designs, our cast aluminium ornamental lugs can be used to secure square drain pipes.
  • Hopper embellishments: including lion heads and fleur de lys, the embellishments we make are designed to be added to ornamental hopper heads.
Gutter systems: our cast iron effect gutter systems are available in a range of styles including Ogee and Victorian Ogee gutter systems.

The Alcasti Heritage Selection of rainwater goods is available to order unfinished or powder coated in a wide range of period colours including porcelain white, olive green, Oxford blue, anthracite grey, graphite grey or sandstone. Detailed measurements and specifications are given for each product, ensuring that they are as easy to install as possible. However, if you need advice on our products, we’re always happy to help.
